Dura-ID is proud to be a bronze sponsor of the Cultivating Retail Exhibition and Conference.
The exhibition takes place on Tuesday 19th November at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham and has been organised by the HTA and GIMA, for whom Dura-ID have provided continuous support.
The theme of the conference is sustainability and how the horticultural industry can ensure that it has a sustainable future.
Sustainability
Sustainability is very much in the news with worldwide protests taking place around the issue of climate change and pollution. The HTA aims to help its members address sustainability issues within the horticultural industry.
Although the horticultural industry is generally regarded as low polluting, it is obvious that changes can be made to help the planet. Cultivating retail outlets currently use over half a billion plastic plant pots and this practice clearly has to change.
The HTA hopes that by bringing the whole supply chain together ideas can be shared and practices can become more sustainable.
Key Speakers
The exhibition features speeches by keynote speakers including Sir Terry Leahy, former CEO of Tesco, Daisy McAndrew, special correspondent for ITV news, Guy Topping from Barton Grange Garden Centre and Dr David Bek from Coventry University who will discuss the 3 P’s – Planet, People and Profit.
The exhibition will conclude in the evening with a dinner followed by an after dinner speaker. Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards will no doubt bring the exhibition to an entertaining and interesting close.
