We will be available to talk to you about all the latest regulations that may be affecting your label design or causing you supply issues:

From the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) now needed on labels – Created by the United Nations (UN) the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling substances (GHS), which establishes global rules for hazardous substances. It is intended to provide standards for categorizing compounds based on their health, environmental, and physical dangers. Communicate the hazard requirements for labels and safety data sheets. We can provide you with the resources you need to generate long-lasting GHS labels in-house, or we can manufacture fully pre-printed labels to meet any volume or budget requirements. Our range of chemical label products are suitable for a variety of packaging sizes, ranging from a 1000 litre IBC to a 25ml sample vial.

The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code is an international mandatory guideline for the safe transportation of potentially dangerous materials or hazardous goods across water. Its aim is to protect both crew and public and to reduce the risk of marine pollution. To comply with the IMDG Code, also known as the ‘Marine Immersion Labels Testing Standard’, your labels need to be produced using BS5609-approved, waterproof label media. We can help you achieve full 3-part BS5609 compliance, involving the adhesive, face material and print, by combining our BS5609 labels with a tested and approved print solution.

Let’s not forget about the latest CLP Regulation – In the European Union, the classification and labelling of chemical substances and mixtures is regulated by the new CLP Regulation (Classification, Labelling, and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures). It seeks to provide the greatest degree of environmental and human protection possible. By doing this, it safeguards employees and customers who encounter chemicals and combinations. It also encourages the free and safe flow of drugs and mixtures throughout the European Union.
